I’ve done quite a bit of concept work for whimsical playsets, splashpads, treehouses, and themed attractions. It’s always exciting for me to see the concept come to life after seeing it exist as only a drawing for so long.
Many of these concepts will start off as lineart for approval before they go to finished color pieces that get presented to clients.
Sometimes the project starts very differently from where it ends up. The ship below started out at 90′ with a kraken attacking the front end, and worked its way down to 60′ with several play slides and a double mast bridge/crowsnest.
